This Memorial Day, we remember all the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country. To them, their families and their communities, I know we are all eternally grateful.
Memorial Day is an opportunity to celebrate and honor our fallen heroes with our family and friends. Even though we can’t gather together this year, we can still pay tribute to our service members. If you have the means, I hope you’ll consider giving what you can to support our veterans and their families in Santa Clara County.

Our military families give up a great deal, and this is still our opportunity to stand with them. And before going down to the beach or heading over to a barbecue, I hope that we all remember to stay safe and continue social distancing – for ourselves and those around us. California has made historic efforts to flatten the curve, and we’re seeing that it’s saving lives.
As we honor those who selflessly gave their lives for our nation, let’s also re-commit ourselves to ensuring every veteran can return home with dignity.
